He has so much faith in his abilities that he waited outside of Undyne's house all night and begged her to accept him into the Royal Guard. Papyrus believes in others just as much as he believes in himself. He is also occasionally oblivious, easily-influenced and nonobservant but can be cunning at times, as seen when he uses reverse psychology to trick Undyne into befriending the protagonist. He is optimistic and innocent even when the protagonist beheads him in a Genocide Route. He works hard and, despite his brash personality, is kind at heart. Papyrus is a flamboyant, immature and childish skeleton who presents a confident, charismatic image of himself. He still wears his boots, gloves, and cape. The first and only appearance of Papyrus's "JOGBOY" outfit.ĭuring the "date" with Alphys, Papyrus arrives wearing a sweatband, shorts, and a t-shirt that reads "JOGBOY," with hearts on the pauldrons. Alphys Date (Jogboy) File:PapyrusAlphysDate.gif He also wears basketballs on his shoulders, likely Mettaton's MTT-Brand FashionBall. Halfway through the date/hangout with Papyrus, he changes into his "secret style": a backward baseball cap, a t-shirt that reads "Cool Dude," small shorts with buttons, gloves with striped trim, knee-high socks, and sneakers.

A symbol that resembles that of Starmen from the MOTHER series adorns the chest plate. It includes a white chest plate with gold trim, orange-red gloves with gold trim, blue briefs with a golden belt, and knee-high, orange-red boots. He wears his "battle body," an outfit that he created for a costume party. He is the same height as Susie from Deltarune and so can be judged as 6'8. He has eyeballs which show at times when he is experiencing strong emotions, although some consider this to be only a joke. His eyes lack pupils and resemble vertical slits his skeletal pseudo-brows form most of his expressions. Being skeletal, many of his expressions incorporate a toothy grin. Papyrus is a tall, perhaps anatomically inaccurate skeleton with a skull more vertical and geometric than his brother. Whether or not this is the case for all clothes is unknown, but this makes it possible that Undyne is borrowing Papyrus’ clothes.Profile Appearance Normal ("Battle Body") File:PapyrusCape.gif Not only that, but the dress itself looks slightly different on each monster.

The dress somehow can magically fit different monsters. After defeating Asriel in the pacifist route, Frisk can find this Mettaton fan, who mentions that Mettaton “gave me his dress!”

However, there is one outfit that is worn by two different characters: the blue dress from Mettaton’s musical. In this picture, Undyne’s boots are compared to Papyrus’ sneakers (from his date outfit), which would be more fitting. While his battle body definitely adds more size to him, it wouldn’t be able to stretch out his shoulders without dislocation! This means his shoulders are broader than Undyne’s.Įven their shoes are of different sizes. The jacket would probably be a tight fit on him, especially if he wore it over his battle-body (like he likes to do). But, notice how much broader Papyrus’ shoulders are than Undyne’s. Having just escaped a burning building, it’s understandable that she would want to change for her date!īeing of similar height, its conceivable that Undyne and Papyrus could share clothes. Considering that Undyne is at Papyrus’ house the entire time until the Alphys date, the clothes could have come from there. However, when she shows up during Frisk’s date with Alphys, she is wearing another outfit entirely. When she leaves, she is wearing her regular non-battle outfit. Saying goodbye to Frisk, Undyne then goes to join Papyrus at his place. By the time Frisk goes on their date with Alphys, Undyne’s house has already burned down.
